My personal experience at the Baglioni Hotel Carlton was unique thanks to the hospitality and kindness of the staff and the attention to detail so typical of the place and every dish and drink that is served there.
The aperitivo experience was a wonderful opportunity to spend a lovely evening in good company, enjoying accomplished cuisine in an exclusive yet welcoming environment.
The setting exuded a friendly, elegant atmosphere that enabled me to relax and enjoy the delicacies that were served.
The experience started with a cocktail suggested by the waiter, and the interesting feature of this drink was that it was served with an edible flower.
I was amazed at the first drink and was astounded every time they brought something to our table.
I began by sampling a Caprese salad accompanied by a few bites of grana padano, all served on a delightful platter.
I was then served a single platter of various small delicacies that whet my appetite just looking at them: quinoa with sun-dried tomatoes and a touch of mint, vitelotte potatoes with a pecorino fondue and black Venere rice with mixed vegetables.
A combination of delicious and delicate flavours.
The second drink also amazed me, not only because of wonderful taste, but also the attention to detail. I ordered a Rossini that looked sublime with a strawberry cut into the shape of a rose on the glass.
Dessert was just as incredible, and the waiter presented us with a huge variety – I really was spoilt for choice! I tried two chocolate cupcakes with fruit, one with blueberries and the other with mixed berries, a white chocolate dessert with strawberry coulis and passion fruit with white chocolate cream.
